My honda odyssey (2003) slid off the road into a snowbank and we had to have it pulled out. The car runs fine, brakes work well but TCS and ABS lights remain on all the time. I know that the two systems are tied together in some way. What could be wrong?

There is a magnetic sensor that detects wheel speed and it picks up off the inner axle and has a pickup that needs to be spaced at a certain distance.

If the air gap changes, it will not perform correctly. More than likely, the air gap got, "Out of Wack", when it was in the snow bank.

The pickup sensor needs to be fixed so it has the proper gap. Look at the front wheels near the inner axle from the backside under the vehicle.

There is a rinf that looks, "notched" and the pickup should be positioned somewhere near that ring.

If you don't find it, let me know and I will watch this post for your reply.

Thank you. I will get back to you after I check all this out. I suspect that the snow is still pretty well packed in.

Any time the ABS light gets illuminated; it is a good idea to scan the vehicle for the ABS codes. As this can help determine the issue, can also point to which sensor might be faulty.

Here is a helpful vide of how to retrieve those codes:

I have attached the ABS/Wheel speed sensor diagrams and testing procedure for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
