Fan running?

I just purchased a 2003 honda civic hybird and I love. But sometimes when I shut off the car it sounds like the fan is still running for about 20 to 30 seconds. Is this normal?

Check the coolant level. If you do not have coolant losses and overheating issues and the fan only works occasionally, it is normal.

System has a sensor that would turn the cooling fans on if the coolant temperature exceeds certain value when ignition is turned off. As long as the fans stops after some time, it is deemed normal.
