2003 Honda Accord Turn Ac On There Initial Pound Click Sound Car Makes

When I turn the AC on, there is an initial pound/click sound then the car makes vibration and rumbling sound for a few seconds, then stops. After 2 minutes the pound and vibration comes back and runs for like 20 seconds then stops again. It goes on as long as the AC is on, especially when the car is not moving.
The valves were already adjusted and the valve cover gasket replaced.

have you r Freon level checked for being low, you may have a compressor or compressor clutch going bad. you hear the compressor running is what the sound is.
