my car is a 2003 Honda with 181885 miles on it. the leathers starting to rip and before I got in an accident the paint was all scratched up with a couple dents in my car as well. if my car damage is about $6,000 do you think they will total it or fix it? cause I don't want it fixed. it was starting to have problems before the accident an needed a new paint job. and what's the most they will give me for it if it is totaled?

This will depend on the insurance Co, there is no way of knowing what they will offer or pay out, different insurers have different percentages they work on, you will just have to see what they want to do, you should be able to take this to a arbartrator if you are not happy.

As far as totalling it, based on the book value, I would say yes. Private party value in excellent condition is 6200.00.
Let me know if you have other questions.

well the car absolutely needs a new paint job the interior is ripping the navigation is outdated. many dents in the car it has 181885 miles on it the oil has problems and now the body alone needs almost $6000 repair needed not including a new axel and what not. I have USAA insurance and the accident was a hit and run. a tahoe ran over the front of my whole car. so does that help? because I'm really worried about driving the car again. it could have more problems fixing it I believe than just totaling it. what would you want done?

If the 6K doesn't include other items like the axle and whatever was damaged, I would say they would total it. But as mhpautos mentioned, different companies have different ways to determine that. Based on what you have said, I would say they will total it. And I do understand your concerns about repairing it.
