Blend door actuator location

My Air Mix Control Valve is stuck on heat on the drivers side. I.E. If I turn the temp way down, the passenger side is cold but the drivers side is hot, very very hot. Where do I physically locate the Air Mix Control Valve? On the passenger floorboard or under the hood? Can I find any pictures of it? What is the Honda part number?

I t might be your mode control motor not the air mix but here is a diagram of the heater unit. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Had a friend remove the motor for me and disconnected metal arms by accident. My issue is placing metal arms back to their proper function location without breaking the actuator motor.

1. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the air mix control motor (B). Remove the rod (C) of the air mix control motor from the air mix control linkage (D). Remove the self-tapping screws and the air mix control motor from the heater unit.
2. Install the motor in the reverse order of removal. After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.

My heater and Air Conditioning blow out normal air, it does not change from hot or cold.
I have tried to re-charge the Air Conditioner but I think, I have a leak in the pipes. I have checked the fuses. My thermostat is just on the open position though, so I don't know if that has something to do with the heater and air not working correctly. I don't know what else to do, winter is coming up SOON and if I don't get my heater working then, I will not be able to drive, because I will not be able to defrost my windows and I will not be able to see! Please help me, if you can?

It sounds like you have a blend door issue. This is the door that seperates your hot air, and your cold air. However before condemning it and pulling out the dash, check your heater hoses to the heater core. There are 2, and they are the only coolant hoses that go through the firewall. Get your engine up to running temp, then feel these heater hoses. One is feed, the other is return. Both should be hot. Lets get you heat for the winter, before we worry about a/c

I am pretty sure I can hear the door that switches the heat to cold air going back and forth. Does the Thermostat have anything to do with your heater?

Yes the t. Stat could cause no heat. Did you do what I suggested in my last reply?

YES, somewhat. I checked the blend door, it is working just fine, and I didn't even have to pul apart the dash, the hoses look good, but I have no clue what or where the heater core is! Can you direct me to find it please?

Heater core is in the hvac box located inside your dash. Dont worry about that right now. You need to check the hoses to it. There are 2. They go through the firewall. Big black hoses, one sits above the other. You will know when you see them. One feeds coolant to the heatercore, the other acts as a return. Both need to be hot.

I only know of one and it did not get hot at all. It was a small hose located under-ish the thermostat.

Sounds like the hose you found is the t. Stat bypass hose. The heater core hoses will be located out of the firewall. There will be 2.

I know for sure it is not the t. Stat hose cause I just changed my t. Stat and had to take that hose off. The hose I am talking about is underneath the t. Stat hose and housing.

Hi all, similar problem here on a 1999 Honda Accord 4 door. Passenger side motor is the issue. I have successfully removed the connector and the 3 screws. My problem is, that I cannot find a way to remove either the rod from the linkage, or the linkage from the motor assembly. Does anybody have any idea? In frustration I pried open the motor and now I just have the upper housing with the large gear locked to it and to the linkage, with no visible option for removing the rod that is attached to the linkage.
In one video I found there appeared to be a potential clip in the stem of the large gear that engages with the linkage, however for the life of me I cannot find a way to remove it.

I attached a picture of the blend door motor and rod. There is a clip that has to be released. Use a bright LED light to look up there.

Hey, so, I’m having an issue with my 2003 Honda accord the heat only works when I go to the actuator on the driver side actuator and move them without the actuator hooked up, but the thing is that I’ve replaced the actuator 3 different times, and it still does not activate. I have 12-volts when the car is on one pin is this correct or should I have more pins or what should I check for?

I would check the fuse # 30, 11, 9, 21 and 12 which is in the interior fuse panel on the left side of the dash. These fuses run the HVAC system.
