My radio works and I can turn on the cd changer but it will spit out brand new cd's. Often gives "error read" message. There are no stuck cd's jammed in there. It seems like it gradually went out. What could this be? Laser?

If you are not using burnt CD's then it is the cd player itself is faulty.

Probably not something the dealers could, ya know..replace if its not my fault it just doesnt work. It would probably run me somewhere around 500.00 to replace. Do stock dashes just go out like that? Is that something that happens in its lifetime like timing belts lol? bummer..
