in a 03 v6 Rodeo 4x2,does the selector fork go under the release bearing or on top.?

not really sure what you are getting at here, the selector fork is internal of the gear box, and the release bearing is in the bell housing, i think we have a terminology problem.

maybe the clutch fork? selector and shift fork are the same thing, now if you have the clutch out and are re fitting the clutch release bearing it will clip onto the clutch fork with a wire clip ands the thrust face of the bearing is in contact with the clutch pressure plate fingers, are we getting close?
