2003 GMC Sonoma Static/Crackling Noise

I have a 2003 gmc sonoma and I have static/ crackling sound coming from the drivers side dashbaord. Lift the hood and you can hear it but not as load as in the car. Truck runs fine but just want to safe and pray nothing to major is wrong. Any ideas.

have a loca l pro look at it this would need to be physically looked at to find the source.

Have this same exact problem. 85000 miles on my 2003 Sonoma. Any conclusions yet?

I personally cannot make a guess even unless I heard it . you might try disconnecting your belt and starting and see if it is still there. I might be the belt and tensioner which should be replaced every 60,000 mi.
