My truck was in a flood, and the engine stopped working while in the water, the water was coming in the doors, we let it dry out for a couple of days, then it ran ok, now it wont start. I have comprehensive insurance now, can I use that to pay for the repairs, even though I didnt have it at the time of the flood.
Thanks
I'm in such a pickle!!

It sounds like you got water in the fuel. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

Please run down this guide and report back.

car starts and immediately stalls. suspect a problem with security system. (factory passlock) won't run on ether and has fuel pressure when it stalls. went so far as to bypass fuel pump controls. checked all pcm hots and grounds.i have power to ign. module and coil. information i have on passlock seems to indicate that it disables engine by interrupting fuel pump circuit. (not energizing relay). i bypassed relay, still nothing. does the passlock disable ignition? thought about crank sensor but am not aware of these being an issue. it is difficult for me to get a reading on sensor with my scan tool. i have limited data reading capabilities. i am starting to suspect pcm.

no spark? none of the cylinders are getting spark? use a spark tester to find out if its putting out little or none.

check the crank shaft sensor for resistance and voltage when cranking.

getting +12v to the coil wiht key on?
