2003 Gmc C1500 Sometimes Start Engine Yellow Light Comes On Reduced Power

SOmetimes when I start the engine the yellow engine light comes on and it says "reduced engine power" The truck then only has partial power. I can cut the power off and then back on and everything runs good for several days.

Have the computer scanned for code/s, this your starting point finding out what's wrong causing the CEL to come on-
