2003 Gmc C1500 Silveraro V8 Vortec Sfi Gas Engine Runs Good Until Come Stop

My silveraro v8 vortec sfi gas engine, runs good until I come to a stop and then it dies. It will restart, and as long as I depress the accelerator just a little it will go, but if I am not depressing the accelerator just a little when I drop it into drive it will die. What do you suggest?

sounds like the idle air control has failed.
