2003 Ford Windstar Car Starts Just Fine Will Into Gear Move Changed Range

Okay so the car starts just fine but it will not go into any gear or will not move, we changed the range sensor and still nothing when we put it on the diagnostic machine it only pops up with a p1000 code. So how can we fix it or what exactly is the problem???

Please help!!

either a front pump or torque converter failure. it will have to come out and be rebuilt
