2003 Ford Windstar Having Problems Keeping Van Started Stop Hearing Squealing

i am having problems keeping my van started when i stop and i am hearing a squealing comming from what sounds like my alternator but i disconnected my ground from battery and it stayed running and had the alternator checked and the mechanic said it was pushing out what it should be what could it be?

nevr, never do this as this disconnecting does nothing but damage computers. it tests nothing and causes headaches.
