Engine stalls while driving?

car jerks at approximately 40 to 45mph and stall atlow rate of speed or idle and both only sometimes. i changed the air ,fuel filters the fuel was plugged i also put stp fuel cleaner in the next full tank of gas

First I would check the fuel pressure. If that is within spec I would run a can or two of a fuel system cleaner that works on seriously clogged or contaminated systems. BG44K is the only really good fuel sytem cleaner. You will have to go to a car dealership parts counter to get it and it costs $20 a can but two can will clean a system and get the car running right if that is indeed the problem.
