gas smell

depending on how much gas I have in the tank I peridically get smell of gas. sometimes heavy sometimes not at all then all of a sudden it comes back.

I would have the evaporative emissions system inspected. There is a canister that collects fuel vapors from the fuel tank and a solenoid-controlled vent valve that directs them to the engine to be burned. Check canister, evap valve and associated tubing/hoses.
