2003 Ford Other Got Ka Fuel Gauge Will Give Warning Sign Very Soon Even Though

i have got a ford ka. The fuel gauge will give me the warning sign very soon even though there is nearly half tank still full. What can i do to fix this embarissing thing please ?

Chances are the rheostat (float level gauge) is bad. IT is in the fuel tank and part of the fuel pump.
