Ok this will be a good one.I have posted this problem quite a bit. This focus has had a DTC of 2274 for awhile, now I am trying to fix this because it did not pass smog I reset it just before I went but now I guess they can tell. So yesterday I am spraying carb cleaner around vacuum lines to see if that is the problem. So today I check the codes again and the 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 3 stuck on lean code is gone. And DTC PO300 Random Multiple cylinder misfire and PO316 Misfire detected at first 1000 revs. Now why did it change and also the motor does not have a misfire it runs good. Does any one have a logical answer I need a fix because I am in a rush to get this thing to smog. I would appreciate a accurate answer please. Thank YOU

I LOOKED THIS UP IN A COUPLE OF PLACES

2274 WAS FIXED BY REPLACING THE O2 SENSOR YOU MENTIONED AT ONE OF THE PLACES I LOOKED. IN FACT IT WAS THE ONLY PLACE I FOUND THAT CODE

316 MISFIRE AT START UP- POSSIBILITIES-POOR FUEL QUALITY/ RAN OUT OF FUEL/ DAMAGED CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR/ IGNITION OR FUEL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION/ PCM DAMAGED

LET'S PRETEND IT'S THE FUEL QUALITY THING

I'VE SEEN IN MANY CASES THAT INSTALLING A CAN OF "SEAFOAM" IN WITH YOUR FUEL WILL CLEAN THE O2s AND OTHER SENSORS, AND THE INJECTORS AND THE CODES WOULD GO AWAY!

SO

YOU MAY WHIZ AWAY $11, BUT IT'S CHEAPER THAN INVESTIGATING/ TESTING/ REPAIRING THE OTHER POSSIBILITIES
