The airconditioner is staying on when the car is turned off, Ive found from googling that this could be the HIM module but a repairer has told me it doesnt have a HIM module and is coils instead? Is this true? Other repairers have given me quotes to replace the HIM module so Im not sure if the other repairers are trying to rip me off or if this repairer just doesnt know what theyre talking about!

Everything I have says it has the HIM module. However, from what I was able to research, power to it should stop when the key is off. Therefore, I question if that is the problem. It is an expensive part, but I know they can be reprogrammed. Have you contacted a dealer regarding this issue or have you been dealing with independent shops?

If it is the HIM module is that the worst case scenario as far as cost goes? If so I have gotten quotes on that and am quite happy with the prices I've been given, so with that info I am quite happy to buy it and just take it in and see what they say

That should be the worst case. However, I would have it checked to see if that is the problem for sure. The idea that it keeps running after the key is off may deal with and electrical short to power. That would end up being labor intense and could get expensive.
