I was driving my truck in the mountains on a bumpy dirt road. When going downhill, I shifted down to save my brakes. When I shifted to 1st gear, my guages went out. I made it home without shutting the truck off. Long story short, I had a dead battery. 1 good, 1 bad. I replaced the bad battery and made sure the good one had a full charge. The truck starts fine but no guages. The lights and the radio work. I checked the fuses and they all look good.
