Batteys running dead,changed to altenator,jump started truck.Drove about 5 miles to charge batterys ,truck died on way back, had to jump it again

Have the battery load tested and the alternator tested to see if it is producing. If both are good, check the fuseable link between the alt and battery. If it is bad, the alt can't recharge the battery.
