2003 Ford F-150 shift tube

Shift tube broke. Replaced with new shift tube. Very hard to shift into gears. I have reverse and low but while in drive it seems like its in a low gear.

check to see if cable is binding. unhook from trans and tube then move by hand see if any binding etc.
