It wont start unless the head lights are turned all the way on.it wont even make any sounds unless the head ligjts are on and if it sits without using it for three days the battery dies and i dont leave anything on its like theres a electrial short in the stearing column

have battery load tested and alternator checked for failure.

steering column??? how do you know this??
