2003 Ford Escape M Trying Remove Rear Window Washer Motor Replace Pulled Tab

I'm trying to remove my rear window washer motor to replace it. I pulled the tab up to remove the pivot arm, but the arm isn't moving at all. I'm afraid of breaking the window. What am I missing?

WIPER PIVOT ARM REAR


Removal and Installation

1. Remove the pivot arm.
1. Lift pivot arm to the upright position.
2. Slide the locking tab out.
3. Pull up and remove the pivot arm.
