Hi I have a 2003 ford escape XLT 3.0 I took and had a wiring diagnostic done on the SUV came back that the BCM or gem module is not turning off when the car is off. Therefore it drains the battery over night, because it thinks the car is still powered on. My solution would be to buy another bcm. My question is instead of buying a new bcm could I just have the one that's in the escape already reprogrammed at ford instead of buying a brand new one. Would that possibly fix the problem?

If the BCM is good, it can be reprogrammed. However, it if is causing an electrical issue, chances are there is a short internally and that won't correct itself with reprogramming.
