Experts please help. I am getting more confused as I go along, as most of the engine compartment diagrams on the net look nothing like the engine in the Stratus, videos are of the wrong model, mechanics contradict each other on what and where the TCM is,

I removed this unit from my 2003 Stratus, checked the part number, and it is an Engine Control Module. Can someone verify that the Engine control and Transmission control are the same unit on the '03 Stratus? If not, is this really it?

See the diagram below. I believe they were integrated in 04 (ECM & TCM= PCM), an 03 should have a separate TCM

TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE
Do not interchange transmission control modules with previous year transmission control modules. If a same year TCM is being used from a different vehicle, the following procedures must be performed:

Quick Learn Procedure
Electronic Pinion Procedure The transmission control module is next to the battery on the left side of vehicle, in the engine compartment. It is held in place by three mounting screws.

NOTE: If the transmission control module has been replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

Quick Learn Procedure: This procedure will allow the transmission control module to learn the characteristics of the vehicle.
Electronic Pinion Factor Procedure: This procedure will reprogram the Transmission Control Module (TCM) to compensate for different tire sizes and final drive ratios.
