my oil gauge all of a sudden went to the high mark and then dropped to the low mark and stayed there till i shut the truck off. after restarting it went to normal until i started to drive it and then did it again? while the truck is at idle the gauge is ok, when you start driving at about 40 the needle goes all the way up to high and after a second it drops all way back to very low and stays there till you shut off the engine and let set few minutes, oil level is fine truck does not seem to get hot but am afraid to run it very long.

I would get a oil pressure gauge hook it up to the engine and see what the actual pressure reading is.You could just have a bad oil sending unit.
