My gf was driving while I was in the passenger seat then all of sudden the car started to fishtail.

We were like 30 feet from the light and we fishtailed to the light. We pulled over to the side of the road to check the car. We thought it was a tire blowout, checked the power steering belt and fluid.

I would look at the tires. Make sure there is sufficient air in the tires. If they are ok, get it to a shop and have them check for front and rear suspension failure.
