starter solenoid

My car clicks several times before starting,usually, sometimes it starts first time. I THINK its the starter solenoid, but don't have a clue WHERE it is located. I can't afford to take it in, so I'm going to try to change it myself.Thanks for your time, and help.

I believe you are correct. The solenoid is mounted on the starter. I'm not sure if you can get just the solenoid anymore. You should just replace the starter which will come with a new solenoid.

Check and test the starter relay in the PDC left side of engine compartment-
