When the timing chain on drivers side bank 1 does that effect the head or burn the valves?

What about the chain. Did it break? Did it skip time?

yes it broke and i have replaced it already but the engine running ruff

This is an interference engine. If you are sure the timing was set correctly, check compression and see what you find.
