I've changed the light bulb. In fact I've changed all three bulbs in the tail light assembly.I've checked the fuse for the brake lights. It's OK too. All the connectors I can get to at the tail light assembly look good. No corrosion and seem to be fine electrically.I'm baffled. Any suggestions

Did you check voltage and ground for the lamp in question, I'm talking about the wiring to the bulb socket. Lightly push on the bulb, while a helper steps on the brake, if it lights-up, just wasn't making good contact. Just to add, white wire with tan tracer is voltage for brake lamp. Have helper step on the brake, use a testlite to check voltage on that wire. I wouldn't think it would be ground, all rear lamps on that side use the same ground.

I have also switched all three receptacles around. Each one clicks in firmly. I'll have to find a helper tonight and see what happens with a meter.

You could use a cement block or something heavy on the brake pedal?
