We were driving snow packed back road in wildlife area and gunned it to drive through water hole on the left side. After about five miles lst power steering.

Got back to town and two hoses with open ends are hanging down in front left side of van. One is ribbed and approx 1 inch or less in diameter. The other looks non ribbed but about something less than half an inch.

Any ideas? We are out of town and going to a local car shop in the am before returning to Minneapolis. I just want a few clues as to what we are looking at; I don't want to just throw money away. Thanks a lot. Any leads will be appreciated. Dave

Any chance you can post a photo? If those are power steering hoses, you would have lost power steering within a few seconds, not miles. Those hoses are pretty hard to tear off too because they're up high and hard to get to.

Which direction are you from home? I'm in the middle of Wisconsin.

It was the power steering hose and it's cover. We were in Siren, wi. Aaa towed us to Mpls and Walser Chrysler in Hopkins had them re-hooked up in hour and half. Traumatic but it could of been worse. Moral of story: don't go on back roads with a Caravan. Especially with spring potholes, live and learn. Thanks very much!
