TPS Keeps Buring Out

In Plain English what you're saying is the throttle position sensor wiring could be shorted? Yes I know, but where can you buy a kit to rewire the whole thing from the ECM to the tps connector end/pigtail? I don't want just the pigtail end, I want the whole thing!

Dunno where you can get the kit I don't think it exist-do you have the same wiring color on the diagram?

I'm a novice, so I'll have to look at it. I learn very quickly though. I was reading an article today online and I see I'll really need to use a oscilliscope to read for drop outs and spikes, and also do a wiggle test. There's just no other way. I'll try doing that on the tps wire all the way down to the ECM/PCM module. That oughtta do the trick! I hope.

That way I can find that short and/or replace the ECM/PCM. It can only be those two things right? I will have to print this diagram out of the electrical system, but I know where the wires are to the tps system and what they look like. I bumped the back of the pigtail today where the tps is while the engine was running and there was a fluctuation in idling. Then I bumped it and pressed it in and wiggled it a little bit and the van cut off. It never did that before this mechanic cut the old pigtail off and spliced on a new one, so I'm assuming there is a dead short somewhere in that wiring and also the ECM may need replacing altogether. Maybe there's a short and also the ECM is thrown off from reading so many different voltages over the times it messed up. I don't know.

I just wish I new where to get that wiring besides the dealership. Maybe I just take it all off, take pictures of it all, and go to radio shack or an electronic supply store and match the wires and rewire it myself.
