My tps on my dodge caravan 03' 2.4L 4 cylinder van keeps burning out and downshifts very hard on open highway. Its an intermittent shortage. I have had the pigtail to the tps connector replaced and the dealer supposedly replaced the ECM and reflashed it.
Mechanics keep burning me with charges for things unrelated. I know its either a new ECM that's required or a whole rewiring fromthe tps to the ECM. My question is where can I buy a kit to rewire the whole tps connector harness at? And any other information you can provide would be more than helpful.
p.s. I also have a 400watt power inverter directly hardwired to my vans battery, could this cause a dead short in the system and cause the ECM to misread the tps voltage? Mechanics say that's not an issue and shouldn't cause any problems, please give me some insight.
