Squeak

2003 pt cruiser.

When driving there is a squeaking/chirping noise coming from the front end of the car.
However when you step on the gas the noise stops. But once you take your foot off the gas it will start again. Stepping on the brakes does not affect the sound at all. Just curious what could be causing this.

possibly a loose/worn/aging belt. serpentines can look ok but the grooves are worn outa spec.

could also be belt pulley bearing like alternator/air comp/belt tensioner.
