It can't be disconnected. Have you checked wiring to the sensor?

Was told the oil pressure switch needed replaced, because it was causing a leak. I bought the part, but can't get to the switch.

Not all parts are easy to access. You have to improvise.

How do I improvise? We had the air filter and several other parts out of the engine and still couldn't get to it. We tried going from underneath and couldn't get through the small space. Any suggestions?

Sometimes you have to do things by feel. If you can fit your hand thru opening and reach sender you can remove it blind as they say? Good mechanics have learned to SEE with there hands! A helper is handy in those situations too.

Here's what 1 person had comments about the change. Reach wayyyyyy down on passenger side and remove. This was on a base PT. Others have said take out battery, air box, moved fuse box aside, then easy reach.
