side door on 2003 dodge caravan wont open automatically

seems to be when it rains also hatch has to be open manually is this a major problem in electrical circuit

How major will require testing to identify. When the door won't open, you need to check for power to the motor. If there is power, chances are the motor is going bad. If there is no power, you need to trace the wiring back until you locate where the power is lost.
