Truck listed above is a 1500 Ls. I’m changing the engine harness. I labeled all plugs except fuel injectors. Now I’m not sure which injector plug goto which injector. In Haynes manual for the injectors, they are numbered 1-8. Does those number correspond to the cylinder number? If so, I could use that to correspond wire color on pigtail to correct injector by cylinder number. Would that work?
Or is there a better way? Need help

Thanks in advance.

The injectors use a single different wire color for each one and the 1-8 is the injector number as you posted. So, if you look at the attached image injector one will have a pink wire (12-volt power feed shared by all injectors) and a solid black wire for its control. So, the plug with those colors' fits injector one. Injector two will have pink and light green with black tracer. Usually if the harness hasn't been unwrapped the plugs will be close to the correct injectors and coils when it is placed on the engine.
