Hello i have a 2003 trailblazer and have a knocking noise on right rear above back tire u can fell the thump thump when put hand on it butt shut car off and it stops.

it sounds like someone is hitting the side of the car right above the tire . but does stop when car stops . can be felt on the finder

Check for worn shocker bushes or even a broken shocker.

Check and see if maybe the tail pipe is broken loose and rattling against the body.....
