2003 Chevrolet Tracker rattling noise by idler pully

There is a rattling noise and we can't tell where it is coming from. Doesn't seem to be coming from the motor

see if the shield above the converter has broken it's rivets that is pretty common.

The shield has already been removed due to excessive noise so we know that is not the problem

then check one of the plastic shields under engine that may be your noise. if nothing there then remove fan belt and start engine if noise stops it's somewhere ein accersory drive.
