I have a 2003 4wd tahoe. While driving, it makes loud vibrations underneath and when I step on the gas it makes a loud knocking noise. What could that be?

Check u-joints. Also, make sure the input and output bearings in the differential and transmission are tight and don't have excessive play. Finally, make sure the differential is full and clean.
