2003 Chevrolet Tahoe low oil pressure when cold

when I start my vehicle the oil pressure gauge is almost on zero and the service indicator says oil pressure low the engine idles high as normal and runs smooth as normal no noises once the engine idles down and the temperature reaches normal operating temperature the oil gauge goes up to normal what could be the reason for this problem

This could be an electrical fault, best thing to do is get the oil pressure tested with a mechanical gauge, this will give you an accurate indication of actual oil pressure, if the pressure is ok as per factory specs the problem will be electrical either with the sender or the cluster, start here.
