Why it idling so high?

2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.7


Changed spark plugs,cap and rotor,now the gas is revving really high.

either a vacuum line is off or the idle air control motor is defective

dcmeza,first of all are you sure your vehicle is a 2002.My friend has a 2002 but with a 5.3 witch has no cap and rotor!! if it is a 2002 with a 5.7 it's not stock and could be many causes to your problem.You need to find out before i can point you in the right direction gascap
