2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 wheel drive

For the past few weeks the automatic push button 4 wheel drive engages its self after the truck has been turned off. When you get in to start it sometimes it is in 4 low, 4 high, or auto. In addition the check engine light has been on but we can not get a diagnostic read on it.

Check to see if there is power going to the 4wd actuator when the key is off. As far as the CEL light, you have to check connections at the port under the dash as well as the computer.
