2003 Chevrolet Suburban turn signal

When I activate left turn signal the hazard lights come on, I have changed both the 5 prong flasher modulators and it fixed nothing, I dont have any problems hazards working normally otherwise

Sounds like a problem in the indicator switch it self, start with back probing for current leak at the back of the switch, it sound s as if the switch is activating bout side at once and not actually switching on the hazards.

It doesn't happen when I activate the right signal.. How do I check the switch??

You need a multi meter, un plug the switch and check continuity between the main power wire and each signal wire, if you have continuity down both paths with the switch set on left turn the switch is faulty.
