plowing snow today had 4x4 then started backing up and lost it push 4x4 button still nothing checked all fuses good crawled under truck drive shaft olny moved with play in universals put it back in 2 wheel drive shaft turns free any ideas

your actuator may be bad and not shifting it to 4wd that is most common cause. check to see if it gets power when switch is moved.
