Ok can a 2000 silverado 4x4 transmission case fit on a 2003 silverado, both trucks are 1500 and 5.3l?

trying to replace transmission case the 4x4 section is broke on 2003 silverado, i have a 2000yr caseing, will it fit did chevy use the same transmission, both trucks are auto-5.3l, 1500, ls style.

If any fluid past from Tcase into your tranny then both need to be replaced, Chevy to Chevy will work, no other GM builds will work.
