Got a not charging message on my info display and the battery light is lit. Could it be something other than the alternator?

Ya it could be a battery or a burnt fusible link to alternator. Check chargings sytem and battery. Normal battery life is 4 yrs

It will run form alternator to starter and probably near starter just test large red wire at alternator if you have battery voltage there it's ok. Then have charging system checked
