03 chevy puge valve

03 chevy silvarado 5.3. can the evap purge valve cause a lean mixture code? my truck has no egr valve. my guess is the purge valve took it place.

Lean fuel condition could be caused by one of the following below:

1.Vacuum leaks
2.EGR and PCV valve.
3.Low fuel pressure.
4.Dirty fuel injectors.
5.Mass Air Flow Sensor.
6.Oxygen Sensor.

thanks for the reply but my truck has no egr valve. part of my question was does the evap purge valve serve the same purpose?

Exhaust gas recirculation has nothing to do with fuel vapors
