on a 2003 chevy S-10 pickup. what would cause the intrument panel to turn on and off while driving the vehicle?(speedometer, tackometer' and everything else on the dash.)

Would say loose ground underdash you should find in kick panels several black wires connected check to see if clean and tight.

being a 4.3 ive seen loose ground wires on the back side of the driverside cylinder head cause this.... check into that also. took me a few hrs to find, so if i can save you my aggravation, it would be worth it.
