Very little heat comes out floor vents, also seems to smell hot. Thermostat was just replaced

Air seems to move only to upper vents, a small amount of air can be felt on lower vents

There was a TSB on such problems. TSB 03-01-38-009, replace the vacuum switch in the transfer case and the HVAC control. Check for any large amounts of oil in the HVAC system.
If the automatic transmission fluid had been changed recently, ensure it is not overfilled.
