I have a 2003 chevy s-10 manual 4 cylinder with 76,000 miles on it. I just moved from WV (light traffic one stop light) to Fayetteville NC (heavy traffic stop light every mile), and when I turn my air on my trucks temperature gauge rises and my truck in all gears seems to sputter and putt around. Like it does not want to go. What could this be and should I get it looked at? Also my check engine light came on before this started and it was the gas cap sensor.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
